  • games and activities
  • projects
  • music and movement
  • community involvement activities such as Holidays Around the World and the end of the year picnic, recycling
  • an opportunity to begin homework or other extended learning opportunities

kidsclubCATCH is the Coordinated Approach To Child Health which is a partnership with Oakwood Hospital Inc., Oakwood Community Health which combines physical activities and nutrition education. Our students participate in vigorous activities 3-4 days a week and receive nutrition classes monthly from a trained Oakwood dietitian.

Kids Club follows the Dearborn Public School calendar and is available from 7 am until the beginning of school and from the end of school until 6 pm at the following schools:

DuVall , Haigh, Howard, Lindbergh, Long, Snow and Whitmore-Bolles

Kids’ Club activities and experiences engage children ages 5-15 in creativity, problem solving, socializing, creative group process, physical exercise and skill building. The Kids’ Club recreates a “neighborhood” for the children to have fun before and after school with arts and crafts, projects, brainteasers, life skills, team building, constructing, reading, board games, outdoor play, team sports, gym activities, dramatic play, music and movement, and even a quiet time/place to complete homework. 

Times are from 7:00 a.m. until school begins, and from the end of school until 6:00 p.m. Vacation periods will be governed by the public school calendar. Additional sites may become available based on community needs and available space. Minimum enrollment must be maintained to offer the program. 

We also offer Kid's Club for school age children at the HFCC Child Development Center until 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday and until 6 p.m. on Friday. Our highly qualified, experienced staff provides engaging developmentally appropriate activities, evening snack, supervised play and homework time for your school age child. We do not provide transportation from your child's school to HFCC.
